Job Summary
AAR a SOCOTEC Company is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our Redmond Lacey or Wenatchee Washington office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical forensic and construction projects working closely with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical forensic and construction projects
- Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
- Coordinate and participate in field activities including:
- Logging borings test pits trenches and cores
- Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
- Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
- Perform engineering analyses including:
- Foundation design and evaluation
- Slope stability analysis
- Settlement analysis
- Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
- Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers geologists and field technicians
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
- Responsibilities subject to change to meet current needs
Qualifications :
Education
- B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
- M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
Required Skills & Experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical consulting
- Familiarity with local engineering practices and California-based projects required
- Detail-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
