Job Summary

Shift: 4:30 PM-2:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $19.97 an hour $1.00 shift differential

Reporting to Team Lead you will operate and maintain case-packing equipment to ensure the safe efficient and accurate packaging of finished products. You will set up equipment monitor production runs perform quality checks troubleshoot operational issues complete required documentation and support continuous product flow while ensuring compliance with safety quality Good Manufacturing Procedures and food manufacturing standards.

Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday some occasional Fridays as needed.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules and complete shift pass-over communications before beginning operations.

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment and complete equipment safety checks before startup.

  • Verify materials supplies case blanks glue chips and production documentation are available and staged appropriately.

  • Perform equipment pre-start inspections and establish operating settings according to product specifications.

  • Load case blanks into the case-packer and ensure packaging materials meet quality standards.

  • Operate case-packing equipment and associated conveyors to maintain production requirements.

  • Monitor packaging operations and perform quality checks on case seals coding weights product flow and rejected product.

  • Adjust machine settings and speeds as necessary to maintain quality and productivity standards.

  • Clear jams and equipment interruptions while minimizing downtime and maintaining safe operating practices.

  • Remove non-conforming product and dispose of waste materials in designated containers.

  • Complete changeovers sanitation activities and end-of-run cleanup activities as assigned.

  • Record inventory batch lot number weight and production information accurately.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate personnel.

  • Assist team members and support plant operations as needed.

  • Perform housekeeping activities to maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.

  • Complete shift pass-over activities and prepare equipment for the next shift.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred.

  • Machine operator experience preferred

  • Must be able to read write and communicate in English as it relates to job duties and safety requirements.

  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Procedures and food safety practices.

  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Strong commitment to safety quality and productivity standards.

  • Must be able to accurately complete production and quality documentation.

  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts and required overtime.

  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screenings including drug screening alcohol screening and background check.

  • Demonstrated teamwork dependability and communication skills.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment issues and make operational adjustments when appropriate.

Physical Requirements

  • Being on your feet walking around the facility climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.

  • Performing consistent repetitive tasks.

  • Frequently lifting pushing or carrying materials
