General Dentist Full Time
Location: Monroe NY
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused General Dentist to join a growing dental team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to both pediatric and adult patients while working collaboratively with clinical and support staff in a modern practice environment.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality dental services contribute to patient education and support a patient-centered approach to oral healthcare.
Schedule- Monday Thursday: Flexible 8 10 or 11-hour shifts
- Friday: Day shift
- Occasional weekend coverage as needed
- Perform patient evaluations including review of medical history medications allergies and overall health status.
- Assess oral health conditions and identify treatment needs.
- Diagnose intraoral and extraoral conditions including:
- Dental caries
- Endodontic pathology
- Periodontal disease
- Prosthetic needs
- Soft tissue abnormalities
- Create individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options and preventive care.
- Perform routine dental procedures including:
- Amalgam and composite restorations
- Root canal therapy
- Routine extractions
- Prophylaxis
- Scaling and root planing
- Periodontal treatment
- Provide direct supervision and guidance to dental assistants and support staff.
- Ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to clinical standards.
- Consult with fellow providers as needed regarding patient care.
- Participate in provider meetings case reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations policies and standards of care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
- Active and unrestricted New York State dental license.
- Comfortable treating both pediatric and adult patients.
- Strong communication interpersonal and patient education skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Experience with digital radiography systems.
- Previous experience in a community health outpatient or multi-provider practice setting.
- Modern clinical setting with digital technology and diagnostic equipment.
- Collaborative team environment with experienced clinical and administrative support staff.
