Position Overview
JMark Services is seeking a Future Operational Planner (FOPS) to support planning operations within the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) G-5 Plans Directorate.
This role is responsible for supporting the development and execution of operational plans across training events exercises contingency operations and future initiatives. The FOPS applies structured planning processes operational art and analytical rigor to translate strategy into executable plans across the Joint Planning and Execution Community (JPEC).
You will serve as a key contributor to both current and future operations helping synchronize planning efforts across multiple stakeholders while delivering decision-ready products to leadership.
What Youll Do

Apply the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and/or Joint Planning Process (JPP) to develop operational plans and orders
Lead and support Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) for deliberate crisis action and contingency planning
Provide expertise in force management processes including sourcing allocation and apportionment
Support Crisis Action Planning Teams (CAPTs) and assist in transitioning plans into executable operations
Draft and refine operational orders and modifications (e.g. FRAGOs WARNOs branch plans)
Review and analyze operational plans and directives providing actionable recommendations
Integrate emerging capabilities including cyber and other functional areas into planning efforts
Support planning battle rhythm events ensuring timely capture and dissemination of notes briefings and products
Maintain planning documentation in accordance with records management and classification requirements
Coordinate planning efforts across functional teams to ensure alignment between current and future operations
Conduct analysis and produce planning products under tight timelines and operational constraints
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field
6 years of experience in operational planning analysis or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience applying structured planning processes to support organizational objectives
Proven ability to develop operational plans draft orders and coordinate across multiple teams
Strong analytical writing and briefing skills
Ability to meet government workplace requirements and maintain required access/eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a relevant field
Experience supporting joint combined or multi-organizational planning environments
Background supporting contingency crisis action or training exercise planning efforts
Experience delivering executive-level briefings and analytic recommendations
