The role is hands-on and spans backend data engineering service development and integrations within Azure. You will design build and support scalable production-grade data pipelines and applications and work closely with business and technology teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Azure Data Engineer / Full Stack Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer / Full Stack Developer to join our team and play a key role in advancing our enterprise data platform. This hands-on position combines data engineering application development and cloud integration expertise to deliver scalable high-performance solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building modern data platforms developing backend services and supporting enterprise-grade applications in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines supporting enterprise data initiatives.
• Build and optimize complex SQL queries data models stored procedures and transformation processes.
• Develop backend applications APIs and services using C# technologies.
• Implement and support Azure-based solutions utilizing Azure Data Factory Azure Functions and related cloud services.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and service layers to facilitate data access and integration with downstream applications.
• Develop and maintain batch and event-driven processing frameworks to support business requirements.
• Ensure data quality integrity security and performance across all platform components.
• Implement monitoring logging alerting and operational support processes for production environments.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders data engineers architects and DevOps teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews architectural discussions and the establishment of development standards and best practices.
• Support production deployments troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous platform improvements.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in software engineering data engineering or related technical roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL development data modeling query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience developing applications and services using C# .
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Data Factory and Azure Functions.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies data integration and pipeline design.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed or cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent analytical troubleshooting communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience designing and implementing modern cloud-native data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Apache technologies such as Kafka Spark or Flink.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns and Azure Event Hubs.
• Familiarity with Azure App Configuration and Azure API Management (APIM).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Prior experience within financial services capital markets asset management or investment management environments.
