Food Services PT Driver

TOMS RIVER REGIONAL SCHOOLS
HAS AN OPENING FOR A PART-TIME DRIVER
IN THE FOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The Part-Time driver position is a 30 hour per week 10 month position at $20.00 an hour or $23400 per contract year.

Candidate must possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must possess a legal drivers license and meet state/local requirements for vehicle operators/ CDL a plus but not necessary
• Communicate effectively and maintain cordial relationships with food service employees and all other district staff members
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to reach bend stoop wipe push pull and perform repetitive motions
• The physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs 100% of the time
• Ability to do mathematical calculations and be computer literate
• Must be clean and neat in appearance follow uniform policies set forth by the School District and local Health Officials
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shall perform in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the Board of Education and the Teamsters Local No. 97.
• Represents the department in a courteous efficient and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety standards in compliance with Health Department HACCP and Bio-Security policies.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary service vehicle; communicate vehicle problems to the Food Service Director and Transportation Department.
• Responsible for delivery and pick up of food and supplies to school by designated time.
• Responsible for delivery set-up and retrieval of special event orders as assigned.
• Responsible for transporting district deposits in a safe and secure manner.
• Assist in ordering receiving and inventorying supplies as necessary.
• Maintains required forms as assigned.
• Must attend scheduled meetings and training relative to job responsibilities.

• Shall perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director consistent with this job description.
