Job Summary:
As a Concrete Finisher at Thompson your primary responsibility will be to form shape treat seal and repair freshly poured concrete surfaces consisting mostly of walls columns floors and slabs according to project specifications and blueprints.
Typical duties include:
Typical duties include:
- Coordinating with Project Leaders and Superintendents to learn scope of work
- Setting structural formwork designed for holding wet concrete in place
- Cleaning inspecting and preparing surfaces prior to concrete pouring
- Using hand tools (rakes trowels floats screeds etc.) to level concrete surfaces
- Establishing finish grade during the pouring of concrete walls columns & slabs
- Applying sealants and other hardening components to fresh concrete
- Identifying and repairing cracks & deficiencies on recently poured surfaces
- Assisting other team members with cleaning jobsite at the end of the day
- Performing additional labor duties that may be assigned by supervisor
- Participating in post-project evals to identify lessons learned for the future
Requirements:
- At least 1 years experience working as a concrete finisher
- Must have a Valid Drivers License or State ID
- Familiarity with construction industry practices and procedures
- 10-hour OSHA certification (will train if necessary)
- CPR and First Aid Certification (will train if necessary)
