Finance Transformation Manager, Accounting, Tools, Entities, Automation, and Management Reporting (ATEAM)

Amazon is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager to join the Accounting Tools Entities Automation and Management Reporting (ATEAM) team responsible for contributing to the launch of automation initiatives across the Accounting organization. With the rapid growth of the company it is essential to make continued investments in process improvement month-end close acceleration automation AI scaling technology. This role has a globally impacting scope and will partner with the world-wide Accounting teams. A successful candidate in this position will have experience in accounting automation aptitude for project management technology internal controls and process design.

This position supports and can directly influence the implementation of accounting technology automation solutions to drive process improvement reduce manual effort and improve financial controllership. It requires the ability to interpret accounting requirements and transform those to a technical solution with the support of technical partners. The Finance Transformation Manager will collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders from accounting business finance and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions to complex problems.

The candidate will benefit from having operated successfully in a fast-paced global organization. Strong prioritization and communication skills are required in representing the accounting organizations responsibility of financial controllership to internal stakeholders from non-financial disciplines. Practical project management experience is required along with demonstrable exposure to leading and delivering on technical projects.

Key job responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to influence automation design and implementation with financial best practices
Gather and document detailed functional accounting requirements and delivery of technical deliverables
Define a project plan and think critically to identify evaluate and communicate on potential risks and obstacles early in the project lifecycle
Define and execute on the pre-launch user acceptance testing and lead the automation launch readiness assessment
Lead projects supporting manual effort reduction and process efficiency while maintaining financial control
Streamline program delivery across the accounting organization by standardizing project communications execution and documentation ensuring consistent scalable global processes



A day in the life
Day to day activities will look like as follows:

- Diving deep into Accounting customer problem statements to analyze and identify automation opportunities and process optimization
- Strong partnership with technical teams to solution and delivery globally impacting automation solutions
- Project Management
- Delivering accounting requirements to business and technical teams
- Facilitate and review user acceptance testing
- Communicate program updates to relevant stakeholders



- 5 years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- Experience delivering results for large cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in project management including resource planning managing schedules reporting project status and prioritizing tasks

- CPA
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience in project management
- Experience in a finance role leading a project or program and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business or experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities or experience in managing and troublshooting network

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
