Key job responsibilities
Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance applying your understanding of Amazons financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools.
Develop and utilize AI-powered dashboards for anomaly detection and trend analysis transforming complex data into clear actionable insights for senior leadership.
Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions track performance metrics and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40-50%.
Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes.

A day in the life
Your day begins with analyzing operational data to identify cost optimization opportunities across the Inbound Operations network. Youll spend time developing or refining AI-powered dashboards that automatically detect anomalies and visualize trends. Throughout the day youll partner with operations teams to validate business assumptions contribute to automated reporting systems and participate in cross-functional councils where youll provide financial perspectives on placement and quality strategy decisions. Youll balance your analytical work with collaborative sessions driving data quality improvements and system integration while validating productivity metrics.

About the team
Our team supports multiple different networks that is the entry point of volume into the Amazon Fulfillment network playing a critical role as financial advocates and business partners. We design develop and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. Team members partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance Operations Supply Chain Engineering and Technology.

About the team
This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance Operations Supply Chain Engineering Procurement Accounting HR and Technology. This role plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. This role will design develop and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

- Bachelors degree or above in Finance Accounting Business Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering Math and Computer Science)
- 5 years of finance or a related analytical field experience

- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
