Field Technician - Parking Security & Low-Voltage Systems
PSX is a parking and security systems integrator serving commercial and industrial clients across multiple industries. We have been family-operated for over 55 years and focus on building a team that values quality work accountability and long-term relationships.
We are hiring a Field Technician to support installation and service work across parking systems electronic security systems physical security systems and related low-voltage technology throughout the Denver area.
This role may include work with access control video surveillance IP camera systems alarm systems parking equipment gate operators barrier arms turnstiles and other commercial access or security systems.
Prior experience with electronic security gate security parking systems or commercial access systems is preferred but not required. Candidates should have hands-on field experience with low-voltage telecom AV electrical electronic mechanical or related service technician work along with the ability and interest to learn new systems.
This is a field-based role. After training technicians spend most of their time working at customer sites across the Denver area with some time spent on documentation coordination and follow-up. A company van is provided to take home after training and technicians typically start their day directly from the field rather than reporting to the office daily.
Pay range: $22-$30/hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Install service and troubleshoot parking access control CCTV IP camera alarm gate and related low-voltage systems
Install and troubleshoot field devices such as cameras card readers door contacts strikes mag locks gate operators barrier arms and parking equipment
Run pull terminate test and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling as needed
Assist with system setup testing commissioning and basic programming after training
Troubleshoot service issues in the field and complete service calls independently after training
Read and work from drawings plans work orders and project specifications
Complete job documentation and communicate with project managers dispatch customers and internal teams
Maintain tools equipment company vehicle and job materials in an organized and professional manner
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends as needed
Qualifications
Required:
Hands-on field service installation maintenance low-voltage telecom AV electrical electronic mechanical or related technician experience
Experience using hand tools and power tools in a field or jobsite environment
Ability to troubleshoot equipment wiring devices or system issues
Ability to follow work orders drawings instructions and safety procedures
Comfort working independently at customer sites after training
Basic computer and mobile device skills for documentation and communication
Strong work ethic reliability and professional communication skills
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred:
Experience with electronic security access control CCTV IP cameras alarm systems gate operators parking systems or other commercial low-voltage systems
Experience with gate security parking systems gate operators barrier arms turnstiles intercoms or physical security equipment
Experience running pulling terminating testing or troubleshooting low-voltage cabling and devices
Basic networking knowledge including IP devices and connectivity troubleshooting
Experience working for a security integrator parking/access systems provider low-voltage contractor AV company telecom company cable/fiber provider electrical contractor or field service company
OSHA lift low-voltage alarm fire/security manufacturer or related certifications are a plus

Monday through Friday
Primarily field-based throughout the Denver area
Rotating on-call schedule for nights and weekends as needed
