Location

Hilo HI Open to attorneys residing anywhere in -person court appearances are required approximately every 1 to 2 months. Specific remote hybrid or in-office arrangements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Hawaii reside in the state have hands-on family law experience and be comfortable independently handling cases and court appearances.

Job Description

• Independently manage family law cases from initial client consultation through resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings negotiations and other legal proceedings.
• Draft pleadings motions legal correspondence and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies.
• Provide practical compassionate legal advice to clients navigating sensitive legal matters.
• Handle civil litigation and employment law matters based on experience and interests.
• Collaborate with legal staff to ensure cases progress efficiently and clients receive excellent service.

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Bar admission and authorization to practice law in Hawaii.
• 1 years of family law attorney experience preferred.
• Experience drafting legal documents and handling litigation matters.
• Ability to represent clients independently in court.
• Strong legal research writing communication and case management skills.
• Civil litigation or employment law experience is a plus.
