Recruiting Heroes LLC is currently seeking a Facility Security Coordinator on behalf of a global leader in air sea and logistics operations supporting industries including aerospace healthcare automotive energy retail electronics and industrial supply chains. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulatory requirements within a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). The ideal candidate is a highly organized and detail-oriented leader with strong administrative auditing compliance and communication skills. Prior military enlisted or non-commissioned officer (NCO) experience is strongly preferred.
This role is based in the LAX area and plays a critical part in maintaining cargo security operations regulatory compliance and operational accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all cargo screeners and cargo screening supervisors complete required initial and recurring TSA training requirements
Maintain training documentation and provide records to TSA officials upon request
Conduct written and electronic assessments documenting cargo screening issues incidents corrective actions and resolutions
Review cargo screening logs daily to verify accuracy and completeness of required documentation
Compare cargo screening logs against airway bills to ensure all cargo has been properly screened and tendered
Ensure compliance with TSA regulations regarding continuous visual examination of X-ray images
Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of cargo screening activities during randomized review periods
Conduct weekly internal audits and unannounced inspections of Designated Screening Areas (DSAs)
Coordinate monthly audits with independent auditors and maintain compliance documentation and records
Conduct physical oversight of cargo screening operations during CCTV equipment outages or failures
Support operational security compliance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts
Preferred Background & Experience
Prior military enlisted or Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) experience strongly preferred
Experience in Quality Assurance Safety Programs Compliance Auditing or administrative oversight programs preferred
Background managing structured accountability programs such as 3M/3MC maintenance administration inspections or compliance operations highly desirable
Strong leadership organizational and administrative skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Innovative problem-solving mindset with the ability to think independently and improve operational processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment while maintaining strict compliance standards
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a background check and security screening requirements
Strong computer and documentation management skills
Experience maintaining records logs and compliance documentation
