3-Month Contract Onsite Mobile Service Role
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour

Role Overview

A facilities services organization is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician 3 to support HVAC maintenance and commercial building operations across multiple sites in the Albany NY region. This mobile technician role focuses on preventive maintenance troubleshooting emergency repairs inspections and maintaining safe and efficient operations across diverse commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain repair and troubleshoot commercial HVAC systems and associated equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency HVAC repairs across multiple facilities
• Support electrical plumbing and general building maintenance activities
• Conduct facility inspections and document building conditions
• Operate and maintain fire/life safety systems and building automation systems
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours maintenance situations
• Prepare maintenance reports inspection summaries and service documentation
• Travel between commercial sites while maintaining strong customer service and safety standards

Requirements

• Universal EPA 608 Certification required
• Valid drivers license required
• Minimum 4 years of commercial HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with preventive and reactive maintenance programs
• Strong electrical and plumbing maintenance knowledge
• Commercial facility maintenance background
• Ability to work independently across multiple job sites
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet
• Strong troubleshooting communication and organizational skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Commercial HVAC certifications
• Multi-site facilities maintenance experience
• Building Automation Systems (BAS) familiarity
• Emergency/on-call repair experience
• Strong reporting and documentation abilities

Compensation & Benefits

Work Schedule

• MondayFriday
• 7:00 AM3:30 PM EST
• On-call support for occasional emergencies
• Travel between facilities within approximately 85 miles of Albany
