Pay: $31.98/Hr.-$51.73/Hr. (Based on experience)
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The position will be within the Shops Department and is responsible for performing general mechanical maintenance on power plant equipment. The Shop team supports a culture of continuous improvement by participating in training reinforcing standards reporting and mitigating unsafe or undesirable conditions and utilizing the corrective action program. This position may regularly require 20% travel. Position Scope: Position reports to CGS Maintenance Foreman The incumbent in this position must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization. Knowledge of plant equipment functions including safety rules and rigging construction and maintenance practices. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex mechanical problems and make repairs. Safety Consciousness Contributing to Team Success Technical/Professional Knowledge Work Standards and Communication.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform maintenance and repair work on plant equipment such as pumps gearboxes fans bearings pipe systems valves and limit torque operators. (disassembly part repair or replacement assembly) using sound technical decisions regarding maintenance on complex mechanical equipment
Adheres to the conduct of maintenance and established maintenance standards and practices.
Perform assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner at the direction of Maintenance Management.
Demonstrates strong maintenance skill on various pumps valves and balance of plan (BOP) equipment in a safe and reliable manor using the correct tools equipment such as rigging fork trucks and cranes
Execute work package when assigned.
Interpret and understand power plant prints.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams on major projects.
Provide technical support to plant operations maintenance staff and engineering to the level of training received.
Perform verification checks on maintenance items covered in maintenance technician training.
