Tekberry is seeking a Facilities Inspector Student Housing (Lower Row) to support our client within Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE). This project supports student housing turnover by conducting detailed inspections documenting damages coordinating maintenance follow-up and ensuring all units are prepared for incoming residents.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough room and facility inspections to assess condition damages safety concerns and missing items
Document findings and support damage assessment and billing processes using provided tools and guidelines
Enter track and follow up on maintenance work orders
Coordinate with custodial teams vendors and housing staff to resolve deficiencies
Perform inventory checks and verify furniture fixtures and room readiness
Monitor vendor progress and confirm completion of maintenance and cleaning tasks
Generate reports and maintain accurate documentation in internal systems
Maintain accountability for keys equipment and assigned assets
Survey custodial closets lofting rooms and storage areas as needed
Adhere to R&DE safety protocols and operational standards
Support additional facility-related projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced high-volume environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
Ability to manage shifting priorities and work autonomously
Professional appearance and conduct
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in facilities property management housing operations hospitality or residential inspections
Experience with inspections turnover processes or work order systems
Experience coordinating with maintenance custodial or vendor teams
California Drivers License preferred but not required
Work Environment & Requirements
100% onsite role in student housing and facilities environment
Frequent walking standing stair climbing and room-to-room inspections throughout the day
Regular computer use for documentation and reporting
Work areas may include clean residential spaces storage areas and units undergoing maintenance or turnover
Occasional extended hours or weekend work based on operational needs
