Facilities & Grounds Manager

Winvian Farm Connecticuts premier Five-Diamond luxury resort is seeking an experienced Facilities & Grounds Manager to lead our Maintenance team and oversee the care and operation of our unique 113-acre property. This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed and participate in an on-call rotation. 

The Facilities & Grounds Manager is responsible for ensuring the resorts buildings guest cottages grounds staff housing and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This position provides hands-on leadership while planning and directing preventative maintenance programs managing departmental priorities and ensuring a safe efficient and exceptional environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise coach and develop the Maintenance team while promoting a positive accountable work environment.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings guest cottages mechanical systems utilities staff houses and grounds.
• Assign prioritize and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Track annual compliance inspections and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Plan and manage department budgets capital improvement projects and vendor relationships.
• Anticipate future maintenance needs and recommend long-term improvements.
• Assist with emergency repairs and respond to facility issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.

Qualifications :

• While several years of facilities or property maintenance management experience is important the right candidate understands that every repair every flower bed every light fixture and every pathway contributes to the guest experience. 
• An eye for detail in maintaining our luxury property.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC mechanical systems and grounds maintenance.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance staff.
• Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of septic and well systems is preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.
