Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in St. Charles MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements
  • Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements
  • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
  • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
  • Performs analysis tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
  • 3 years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
  • 3 years of experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings
  • 3 years of experience do you have working with and understanding detailed engineering requirements
  • 1 years of experience do you have in Quality / AS9100 / Aerospace Quality Processes (e.g. AS9102 FAI AS9146 APQP AS9146 FOD ACSI/FCT/FC/DC processes)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience in aerospace fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 1 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis data collection preparation and interpretation
  • 3 years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • Ability to work with a cross functional team environment including peers leadership and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
