Job Summary
Job Title:Equipment OperatorFLSA Status:Non-ExemptReports to:Production ManagerSalary: $21.65Location:Seattle Goodwill OutletAbout the Position The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of different types of PIT (Power Industrial Trucks) equipment such as the forklift and pallet jack. This role transfers and loads donated goods in support of Evergreen Goodwills business operations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without pre-and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Goodwill policy to ensure federal and state compliance. Safety and efficiently operate equipment that may include: forklift pallet jack front-end loader and other equipment using proper safety monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste in monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment as any necessary repairs to supervisor as all required safety policies and safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or and maintain internal and external customer to team effort by accomplishing related results as other duties as Requirements (Qualifications for the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act)To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic familiarity with warehouse procedures and experience working at sites regulated by time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe follow through ability; ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they Skills: N/ACertificates Licenses or Registrations: Goodwill Forklift certification required: must meet eligibility requirementsPhysical Abilities:While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp handle manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods frequent bending kneeling reaching stooping squatting pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs ramps uneven terrain). Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written including those who have limited English skills.
