The End of Life (EOL) Technician supports the R1094 Program by managing the collection documentation transportation warehousing and disposal of end-of-life IT equipment from sites undergoing integration. This role helps ensure the program meets all service level agreements (SLAs) documentation standards and invoicing objectives.
EOL Technicians work both onsite at client locations and internally with CCS teams to coordinate equipment tracking and documentation throughout the EOL process.
When not actively supporting EOL or integration projects technicians may assist with additional technology initiatives including large-scale device deployments to schools across New York City and Long Island. These deployments may include desktops laptops iPads and Chromebooks.
Prior to deployment team members may assist with device preparation and staging at the CCS warehouse located at company headquarters in Hauppauge Long Island.
Salary: $40000-$45000
What Youll Do:
Learn and maintain an understanding of CCS EOL program requirements and objectives.
Follow established EOL procedures and apply training in daily operational tasks.
Identify anticipated EOL equipment and communicate requirements with the Integration Project Manager and warehouse team.
Collect document and prepare EOL equipment for transportation and warehousing.
Maintain and update all EOL documentation and required program artifacts.
Ensure accuracy and quality across all EOL deliverables and internal documentation.
Confirm completeness of EOL documentation prior to submission.
Upload required EOL documentation and artifacts to the Project Coordinator.
Identify potential risks or issues and escalate concerns to management and project leadership as needed.
Report completion of EOL equipment pickups and communicate any issues encountered during the process.
Assist with device deployment projects when not engaged in EOL work.
Support device staging and preparation activities within the CCS warehouse prior to deployment.
Travel to client locations throughout New York City and Long Island as required.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
Entry-level IT technician seeking to begin or grow a career in Information Technology.
CompTIA A certification preferred or currently in progress.
Basic understanding of inventory management concepts.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment including switches routers and servers.
Working knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
Experience setting up workstations printers and peripheral devices.
Strong organizational communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical & Travel Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to pass a background check required by the NYC Department of Education.
Access to a reliable vehicle is required. This role involves regular travel throughout the five boroughs of New York City and Long Island.
