Job Summary:
The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the environmental services (EVS) operations of the facility ensuring a clean safe and well-maintained environment. This role includes staff management regulatory compliance and support for facility improvement efforts.

How youll contribute:
A Environmental Services Supervisor who excels at this role:

• Clean patient rooms restrooms lounges offices corridors walls and windows per schedule.
• Perform floor care including vacuuming sweeping and mopping; restock restrooms and clean fixtures.
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery such as vacuums mini extractors and hand trucks.
• Inspect and evaluate the hospitals physical condition and recommend repairs painting and space utilization changes.
• Hire train evaluate and discipline EVS personnel according to policy.
• Schedule EVS staff to ensure adequate coverage throughout the hospital.
• Develop and implement orientation and ongoing training programs for staff.
• Participate in hospital Safety Committees.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO federal state and local regulations and cleanliness standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience required; experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; able to interact with patients visitors and staff professionally.
