Engineering Analytics Intern

Job Summary
- Work alongside refinery engineers and technical specialists to solve operational reliability and performance challenges using engineering fundamentals and process knowledge.
- Evaluate process and equipment data to identify trends investigate issues and support improvements in safety reliability and operational efficiency.
- Develop calculations analysis tools and digital solutions that help engineers understand process performance and make informed decisions.
- Audit and improve existing condition monitoring tools used across the refinery fleet.
- Collaborate with operations process engineering reliability controls and digital teams to define problems gather information and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on monitoring optimization troubleshooting and engineering workflows.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations in practical terms to engineering and operations audiences.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Working proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn other engineering analytics tools
- Clear written and verbal communication including explaining technical work in practical terms
- Analytical structured problem solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Initiative and a collaborative attitude when working with engineers operations and digital teams
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Familiarity with Python or other tools used for engineering calculations and data analysis
- Experience with modeling simulation statistics or inferential calculations
- Curiosity about AI-assisted analytics prescriptive analytics and digital transformation in industrial operations
