Job Summary
Responsibilities
* Perform visual inspections and measurements on incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Materials will include both refractory and sheet metal.
* Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
* Conduct regular inspections of production processes to monitor quality control parameters and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and documentation.
* Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
* Support the departments safety initiatives apply knowledge of industrial safety standards and identify health hazards.

Required Skills
* Able to interpret technical documentation (e.g. specifications design prints SOPs etc.)
* Proficient in using hand measurement tools and equipment.
* Strong knowledge of quality control methods practices and procedures.
* High attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
Desired Skills
* Previous manufacturing experience
* Metal fabrication and welding knowledge
* Metrology experience (e.g. CMM vision systems 3D scanning etc.)
* Solidworks/CAD understanding
