The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) regular full-time position in the class of Energy Program Manager at the General Services Department.The incumbent serves as the principal lead to the department regarding the development and implementation of policies procedures and systems to implement the energy program. Incumbents in this class exercise direct and indirect supervision over lower level supervisory technical operational and/or clerical staff.
The Ideal Candidateis experienced in energy management in the public sector. This candidate will have experience with managing distributed generation systems developing recommendations for new energy savings solutions implementing decarbonization measures identifying ways to operate major energy-intensive building systems more efficiently knowledge of electric vehicle charging infrastructure management and implementing demand response and end-use load management programs.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering or related field.
AND
Experience:Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of energy and utility management experience.
A strong engineering foundation in HVAC boilers lighting electrical power distribution and control systems is preferred.
License and Certificates:
Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional from the U.S. Green Building Council are preferred and can substitute for one year of work experience.
License:This class requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid California drivers license Class C or higher to carry out job related duties.
