Job Duties

Ensures all new staff receive orientation & training in accordance with established policy and procedures for emergency management and ESF 3 staffing; Ensures all ODW staff receive training on emergency response and that the training objectives support the ODW mission; Assures that staff training records reports are forwarded to the Division of Training and Outreach within the assigned timeframe; and Actively participates in and organizes an exercise and training programs in a timely manner for owners engineers officials and the general public to explain new procedures and regulations; Responds to customer and employee requests promptly; Coordinates media response with central office and VDH PIO; Establishes positive relationship with sister agencies and district health directors; Participates and leads efforts to improve ODWs quality and timeliness of responses for emergency response and preparedness; leads coordination calls with waterworks and ODW field offices.

Minimum Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of GIS mobile applications and Microsoft products.
Expert knowledge of emergency response and preparedness.
Substantial work experience in project management and emergency response and preparedness.
Experience and understanding of the Commonwealths emergency response and preparedness.

Additional Considerations

Working knowledge of drinking water treatment and principles.
