Job Summary

Job Description / Role and Responsibilities

Join a premier aerospace systems group to develop and test mission-critical software for advanced power distribution and flight actuation systems. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design high-priority programs that ensure the safety and precision of modern flight technology. This role focuses on the full software development lifecycle emphasizing DO-178C compliance and robust system integration.

  • Design and implement complex embedded software architectures for power and actuation systems.

  • Develop efficient maintainable code using C and C for real-time applications.

  • Execute comprehensive software verification and validation plans including unit and integration testing.

  • Coordinate with hardware and systems engineers to ensure seamless software compatibility and system performance.

  • Analyze and debug embedded systems using JTAG emulators and advanced profiling techniques.

  • Maintain technical documentation and configuration management in alignment with rigorous aerospace standards.

  • Perform code reviews and coverage analysis to ensure adherence to MISRA C and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • 27 years of experience in embedded software development within a formal SDLC environment.

  • Expertise in C for embedded applications; familiarity with C# Python and assembly language is a plus.

  • Proven experience with aerospace industry standards such as DO-178C DO-254 or ARP475A.

  • Proficiency with microcontrollers DSPs and debugging tools like JTAG Coverity or LDRA.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture code optimization and hardware-software integration.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Comfortable working in both professional office and manufacturing/laboratory environments.
