Embedded QA Engineer Camera, ISP FW & Driver

We are looking for an experienced and outcome-driven Embedded Quality Engineer to help deliver a best-in-class camera solution for iOS products. You will qualify ISP firmware and camera drivers across every hardware platform we ship ensuring millions of Apple customers get a camera experience that just works through every new sensor every new feature and every commit that touches the stack. This is a fast-paced high-performing team and the work spans new hardware bring-up new feature enablement and continuous regression testing on every ISP code change.

In this role you will: nnOwn regression testing for every ISP code change across multiple projects and active trains discover regressions triage failures and catch issues before they land in the main parity feature validation on new hardware platforms independently own re-validation of existing camera/ISP features against new sensors proving nothing test plans and test cases for new camera/ISP features functionality performance power stability and image quality and validate them end-to-end as theyre enabled in parallel with and maintain automated tests so test coverage keeps pace as hardware and feature count with development and cross-functional QA teams to triage diagnose and debug issues to root cause; file high-quality reproducible coverage gaps and flag risks and trends to leadership.

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience. n3 years of QA experience testing embedded system in Python or a similar scripting developing system and feature level test plans and test developing automated tests for embedded systems or mobile -on experience leveraging AI-based tools to build and automate workflows.

Understanding of camera technologies the ISP pipeline 3A video formats and color with quality test gating in a large multi-repo embedded designing developing or maintaining test suites using Pytest or other setting up integrating or maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools such as working across many concurrent trains/hardware platforms at verbal and interpersonal skills especially triaging with dev on successful large-volume consumer products.
