  • Castle Rock School District would like to announce the opening of an Hourly Staff (dishwasher) position in the elementary school cafeteria. The position is Four (4.0) hours per day for the 2026-27 school year.


    General Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Food Service Director assists in preparing cleaning and cashiering items as well as maintaining Cowlitz county health card and required USDA training to meet professional standards for food service.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Properly cleans sanitizes and stores dishes utensils etc. as directed.
    2. Cleans area daily
    3. May help with loading and unloading supplies up to 50 lbs.
    4. Help deliver supplies to other buildings.
    5. Empty garbage in kitchen area.
    6. Assists co-workers as needed.
    7. Maintains a record of regular attendance arrives and departs at specified times and notifies appropriate personnel when they must be absent.

    Other Functions:

    1. Perform related duties as assigned.
    2. May travel to other buildings for supplies.
    3. Maintains Safe School trainings and Professional Standards training yearly.
    4. Flexible in schedule (i.e. early release late arrival assemblies etc.)

    Qualifications:

    1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
    2. A current Cowlitz county health card.
    3. A valid Washington state drivers license.
    4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    5. Demonstrated ability to work within a team concept.
    6. Demonstrated organization skills and commitment to follow through on tasks without direct supervision
    7. A positive attitude toward children their families and staff.
    8. Effective interpersonal skills.
    9. Effective oral and written communication skills.
    10. Criminal history fingerprint clearance through Washington State patrol and FBI at employees expense.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Recent successful cafeteria experience in like setting.
    2. Demonstrated ability to relate to supervisors/administrators.
    3. Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and software.

    Terms of Employment:
    Terms of Employment:

    • Salary: $20.07 per hour
