Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician in Orlando Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will provide hands-on technical support to engineering teams through electrical fabrication soldering cable and harness assembly technical documentation data collection and test support.

Required Skills

  • 3 years of experience in an electronics fabrication cable and harness SMT board fabrication or military product maintenance environment.
  • 3 years of experience with soldering and harness fabrication to MIL-STD requirements.
  • 3 years of experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints schematics engineering drawings and technical instructions.
  • Experience communicating technical design and process issues to engineers and management.
  • 3 years of experience using software tools and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation schematics drawings and technical data.
  • Experience gathering formatting maintaining and documenting technical or test data.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers and other technical personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established technical processes.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

  • J-STD-001 solder certification.
  • IPC-7711/IPC-7721 certification or experience.
  • Experience with cable and wire-harness fabrication.
  • SMT board fabrication experience.
  • Experience maintaining or supporting military-design hardware.
  • Experience with procurement or acquisition of test materials.
  • Experience interpreting and building test equipment from engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

What Youll Do

  • Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering and fabrication tasks.
  • Gather maintain format compile and manipulate engineering and test data.
  • Support documentation of laboratory results material-test data and engineering changes.
  • Produce technical documentation reports flowcharts block diagrams and schematics.
  • Fabricate electrical hardware from engineering drawings blueprints schematics and technical guides.
  • Perform soldering cable harness and related electronics fabrication activities.
  • Conduct tests and record data to support engineering evaluations and analyses.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations and preliminary technical-data analysis using established methods.
  • Communicate fabrication design and process issues to engineers and management.
  • Support test-equipment build and material procurement activities as needed.

Pay

  • $38.89 per hour.
