Job Summary
The Opportunity:
ARKA Group is seeking Electromechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. This position is fully onsite.
Responsibilities:
Youll be part of the Mechanical Engineering department and support design and analysis of hardware for electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of college or university and currently enrolled in the study of Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel Powerpoint Word Outlook)
- CAD Experience (preferred PTC Creo)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
Desired:
- GD&T and applications of those principles on drawings
- Design and analysis experience
- Mechanical design and knowledge of fabrication methods and processes
- Product Data Management PDMLink

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including but not limited to geographic location Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates relevant prior work experience specific skills and competencies education and certifications.
