Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels HVAC systems train control systems propulsion equipment lighting communication systems braking systems and other electrical components while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment HVAC systems propulsion systems lighting communication systems and braking systems.
  • Install service and repair electrical panels wiring lighting fixtures and electrical machinery.
  • Replace defective air filters relays control boards pressure switches and HVAC components.
  • Diagnose faulty motors and electrical components using testing equipment.
  • Perform safety inspections and operational tests on doors braking systems and control systems.
  • Repair and maintain electrical components on presses cranes motors and industrial equipment.
  • Remove and replace defective electrical parts using hand tools power tools cranes and hoists.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints schematics and circuit diagrams.
  • Document maintenance activities repairs and equipment issues.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Pass an Electrician Aptitude Test.
  • Knowledge of Ohms Law digital circuits instrumentation communications and computers.
  • Experience with control valves transmitters PLCs and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of high-voltage systems transformers grounding systems and fuses.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using multimeters voltage testers and related tools.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints and circuit diagrams.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screenings including drug test physical and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PLC programming VFDs industrial Ethernet and industrial control systems.
  • Experience installing repairing and troubleshooting commercial or industrial electrical wiring.
  • Military heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Trade school electrical diesel-mechanical or technical training.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Frequently stoop bend crawl kneel climb and balance.
  • Work in high-temperature environments.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats safety glasses and safety boots.
