    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Required:
    High school diploma or GED.
    Valid Colorado drivers license.
    Valid Colorado State Master Electricians License or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
    Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in electrical system installation and maintenance.
    Or any other combination of related education experience and training.

    Preferred:
    Two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience.
    First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).

    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Summary/Objective: This working foreman position is responsible for implementing and supporting a predictive preventative and proactive maintenance program for the electrical
    maintenance department. The position ensures the safe efficient and code-compliant
    installation maintenance and repair of all electrical systems and equipment.

    The Electrical Maintenance Foreman supervises electrical personnel assigns and
    inspects work and performs skilled electrical work. Responsibilities include planning and
    scheduling work through the Districts work order system coordinating contractors and
    supporting long-range facilities planning.

    This position may be on call and is responsible for maintaining safe electrical systems
    for students staff and the community.

    Essential Job Functions:
    Supervises and directs D6 electricians in the installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
    Plans schedules and prioritizes work using the District work order system.
    Performs skilled electrical work including wiring lighting motor controls fire
    alarm systems and distribution systems.
    Ensures all work complies with local state and national electrical codes.
    Estimates labor materials and costs for electrical projects and repairs.
    Assists in the development and monitoring of the electrical department budget.
    Coordinates electrical projects with other departments and outside contractors.
    Monitors productivity and quality of work performed by staff.
    Recommends staffing levels and assists with hiring discipline and employee
    evaluations.
    Maintains accurate records including timekeeping materials usage and work
    completion.
    Responds to emergency situations involving electrical systems.
    Supervises and maintains electrical distribution systems transformers and
    circuit breakers.
    Promotes and enforces safety procedures and participates in safety training
    programs.
    Uses positive verbal and non-verbal communication when working with staff and
    the public.
    Drives District vehicles and operates equipment as needed.

    Other Duties:
    Assists D6 electricians with complex or high-priority work orders.
    May supervise contractors and inspect contracted work.
    Participates in snow removal and other District-wide support activities.
    Maintains tools equipment and shop areas.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Additional Qualifications:
    Extensive knowledge of electrical systems installation maintenance and repair
    practices.
    Thorough knowledge of applicable electrical codes and regulations (NEC).
    Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical diagrams.
    Ability to plan organize and supervise work activities effectively.
    Strong leadership communication and team-building skills.
    Ability to estimate materials labor and project timelines.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
    Ability to maintain professional and courteous relationships with staff and the
    public.
    Ability to use computers and software for work order tracking and reporting.
    Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy.
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises D6 electricians and may oversee contractors.

    Work Environment/Physical Demands:
    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds.
    Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above six feet.
    Ability to work in confined spaces.
    Ability to stand walk bend and perform physical labor for extended periods.
    Work performed in indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
    Exposure to electrical hazards including high-voltage systems.
    Exposure to noise machinery and occasional hazardous materials.
    On-call availability for emergencies may be required.

    Travel: Travel within the District may be required.
