Role: Electrical Field Service Engineer/Representative
Role Overview
Our client a global leader in power management solutions is seeking a Field Service Representative to support their Engineering Service & Systems division in the Littleton CO region. This role offers exceptional growth potential mentorship a company vehicle toolkit phone and tuition assistance backed by one of the largest and most experienced field services teams in the industry.
Responsibilities
Perform field service work on electrical equipment across assigned projects
Deliver technical solutions directly to customers on-site
Handle complex engineering assignments including equipment/product design testing process studies and research investigations
Apply expertise in: Test Equipment Operation Troubleshooting Protective Relays Power Quality Measurements Disaster Recovery Rotating Machinery and Protection & Control Design
Generate timely accurate service reports covering work performed product performance and warranties
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED 2 years of electrical or mechanical industry experience; OR completion of an accredited trade school/program 5 years evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)
Valid drivers license required
Ability to obtain/maintain a valid TWIC card and DOT non-CDL qualification (if required)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
1 year of field service experience with electrical distribution or control systems
Electrical or General Contractors License
Professional Engineering (PE) License
Experience with power quality measurements protective relay testing/troubleshooting
NICET/NETA certification
Key Competencies
Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems; low medium and high voltage distribution
Electrical safety practices
Proficient with hand and power tools
Strong computer problem-solving and logical thinking skills
Effective communicator able to explain technical issues to varied audiences
Works well under time pressure and in stressful field environments
Collaborative team player who meets project deadlines
Work Conditions / Requirements
Variable hours including nights and weekends; travel within district/state/region as required
Physically demanding role: lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally greater with assistance
Exposure to extreme weather noise poor lighting/ventilation and dust possible
Must comply with client safety programs and pass periodic background/drug screenings
