We need a patient skilled and proactive EE technician to assemble debug and maintain prototypes and evaluation systems along with the vendors and equipment required to produce them.
Responsibilities
Assembly test debug and rework of compact electro-mechanical systems including
fine-pitched soldering small-scale paste/reflow; custom cables and adapters and
sub-cm enclosures with plastic/metal/composite materials.
Order use and maintain electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes power
supplies DMMs spectrum analyzers and standard-specific compliance testers.
Develop and maintain build & debug procedures for prototypes.
Operation and debugging of automated component test and data collection systems.
Engage and manage fabrication vendors to deliver components PCB/PCBAs and
metal/plastic parts for prototypes.
Manage lab space equipment supplies and inventory.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics or a related field.
Mastery of soldering and reflow techniques for fine-pitch components (down to 01005/QFN/BGA 300 µm pitch.
Understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Comfort and skill in selecting operating and maintaining benchtop electrical test equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Safety conscious dependable and positive attitude.
proactive ability and interest in solving technical challenges outside your areas of expertise.
Desired/Preferred/Bonus
Experience with wearables or soft goods products.
Basic understanding of firmware or software test scripts.
Familiarity with ECAD (Electronic Computer-Aided Design) software
