The Electrical Engineer I role is an entry level position performing routine engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects of a general nature and limited scope by applying standard mathematical physical science and/or engineering technologies.
- Assists in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects products programs components tools and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of higher-level engineers.
- Assists in the preparation of product or project definitions manufacturing drawings and specifications operating procedures and test equipment designs.
- Assists in the development of electrical and/or environmental test procedures and performance of routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests product and process capability studies quality audits product or project data reviews and other engineering evaluation work.
- Defines and acquires tooling cables and other equipment necessary to manufacture/inspect parts to assure product quality.
- Interacts with design agencies suppliers and/or internal organizations to assist in resolving design development productions and acceptance issues.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding technological advances that improve productivity and quality reduce flowtime and enhance operational surety.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Engineering or Physics
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- United States Citizenship
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to obtain and maintain if required for position a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
- Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques.
- Demonstrates working without supervision with latitude for independent action and decision making.
- Demonstrates providing technical guidance project management guidance consultative services and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrates experience in project leadership.
- Prefer knowledge of Telemetry
- Prefer knowledge of PWB and PWA
