Supports the Fire Safety Inspector in conducting fire extinguisher inspections assisting with fire safety compliance activities and promoting a safe campus environment.

Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Fire Extinguisher Inspection:

  • Assist in monthly inspections of fire extinguishers in non-residential campus buildings.

  • Check for proper placement accessibility and signage.

  • Verify inspection tags are up to date and properly documented.

  • Report missing damaged or discharged extinguishers.

  • Help maintain inspection logs and digital records.

  • Assist with identifying fire hazards.

Qualifications:

  • Frequent walking climbing stairs and accessing various campus facilities

  • Occasional lifting bending and carrying of equipment.

Training Provided:

  • Fire extinguisher inspection procedures.

  • Basic fire safety and hazard recognition.

  • Campus safety protocols and compliance standards.
