District Substitute School Age Care Program

Position Description:

Assist Elementary School Age Care programs with performing duties necessary to meet the care needs of children in a large group care environment. Both Site Supervisor and Program Assistant position substitutes are needed. All positions provide direct service to students and preparation for meeting student needs. This position requires positive day-to-day dealings with staff and students in guiding site activities andsupporting strong student choice-making.

Requirements:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Read write and comprehend instructions short correspondence and email communications. Mobility and ability to lift twenty pounds. Hearing speech and sight are required. Children play outside nearly every day and staff must be able to dress for the weather to accompany them.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Lead activities for small group and large group situations for students. Interact with parents as they come to sign in and sign out their children from the site. Maintain flexibility in day-to-day dealings with staff and students. Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students and staff. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Rate of Pay:

A-1-3 EA sub rate // $15.45/hour
