Department | Parking and Transportation Services within the Division of Administration and Finance provides access to the campus through alternative commute options and parking programs that mitigate traffic congestion and improve air quality through the reduction of mobile source emissions. We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director Parking and Transportation Services (Administrator II).The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude an active energetic mind and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity openness flexibility integrity and kindness. |
Duties and Responsibilities | The Director of Parking and Transportation Services is responsible for the administration leadership and financial stewardship of the Universitys Parking and Transportation department in compliance with education code and 42201 SCAQMD Rule 2202 and the California Vehicle Code. Responsible for the development and implementation of programs to optimize the Universitys parking and transportation programs and facilities the Director is the primary interface with campus constituents and the Alternative Transportation Committee. Oversees change management within the organization and prepares long-term plans to support the Universitys Strategic Plan. Oversees the development of the Universitys Transportation Demand Management Plan. Leads department personnel to promote and mentor an inclusive work environment; incorporate efforts to ensure equitable processes and practices within department operations. Manages and directs resources and programs to provide an optimal level of service as a self-support enterprise operation. Other duties as assigned. |

Essential Qualifications | A bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills and ability. Minimum of five years of management experience leading and developing teams. Management experience overseeing a large parking operation and developing transportation demand management strategies is required. Ability to manage projects develop processes and direct workflow. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position. |
Preferred Qualifications | Masters degree in public administration business administration or related field. Management experience in Parking and Transportation at an institute of Higher Education. Parking and Transportation Mobility Professional (PTMP) certification. |
License/Certifications | A valid California drivers license. |
