Core Responsibilities
As the Direct Materials Procurement Manager you willbe responsible for:
Develop and execute sourcingcategorystrategies to support manufacturingoperationscomplywithproduct specifications and the LEGO Groups global standardsand delivercost savings.
Collaborate across other regions and manufacturing sites to lead end-to-end procurement activities including supplierselection negotiations and contract management.
Conduct cost analysisanddevelopnegotiation tactics toensure optimized materials cost structure in a high operating cost environment.
Lead supplier relationshipmanagement processmonitoringand reporting performance and managingsuppliersto the standards of The LEGO Group.
Develop regionalsourcingstrategythatidentifiesand qualifies suppliers withinproximityto the LEGO Manufacturing Virginialocation.
Develop a risk resiliency road map by material categorythatIdentifiesand mitigatesrisksincludes cross functional insights andensuresbusiness continuity.
Conductcost capacity and supplier capabilityanalysisin support oftotal cost of ownership evaluationsto enhance collaboration with regional and globalprocurement leaders andtodrive improved outcomesfor the Virigina site.
StakeholderManagementprovideleadership and influenceamonginternalstakeholdersto drive companywide cost initiatives in the Direct (BOM) spends.
Act as an ambassadorof complianceensureprogressto the LEGO Groups Responsible Business Practices program andsustainabilityagendas.

By strategically sourcing and leading supplier relationships the department drives cost efficiency quality assurance andsupply chain reliability. It serves as a vital link between various functions including Manufacturingacross multiple regions EngineeringGlobal Procurementand Finance fostering collaboration to meet organizational goals.
The Direct Materials Procurement Manager supports the broader organization by leading initiatives that enhance operational performance and drive innovation. Through effective procurement strategies risk management and supplier partnerships the role ensures uninterrupted production and aligns procurement activities with businessobjectives. This position is integral to achieving cost savingsoptimizingsupply chains and supporting sustainable growth across the company.
Do youhavewhat it takes
ABachelorsdegree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Business Engineering or Operations is preferred.Strong experience managing procurement areas such as raw materials packaging processing materials resins and manufacturing-related suppliers.
Must Have:
Experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in strategic sourcing initiatives and contract management.
Proficiencyin ERP/procurement systems such as SAP Ariba or Oracle.
Excellent stakeholder management communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice to Have:
APICS CPSM CPM or related procurement/supply chain certification is a plus.
Experience withcommodity management cost modeling and supply risk mitigation.
Experience with sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.
Familiarity with digital tools and process enhancements in procurement.
Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and reporting.
Experience in supplier development and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $115803.00 - $173705.00 based on anticipated responsibilities market benchmarks and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to prior experience skills expertise location internal equity and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details inclusive of benefits will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
