Job Summary
As a Diesel Mechanic youll be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining diesel engines trucks trailers and heavy machinery. Youll ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently while maintaining accurate service documentation and following company safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Diagnose repair and maintain diesel engines transmissions hydraulics electrical systems and brake systems.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks trailers and heavy equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve problems.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors about repairs timelines and parts needed.
Qualifications
3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or related role.
Strong understanding of diesel engine fuel and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Experience using diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools.
Valid drivers license (CDL preferred but not required).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.
ASE certification welding/fabrication experience and knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.
