Job Summary
Desktop Support Technician
This role if for someone with prior desktop support experience (Hardware Replacement Windows Upgrades PC Refresh etc.) with experience supporting WIN7 / WIN10.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role with no benefits. Compensation is $32/hour. Location is onsite at the clients location in Portland OR. If you agree to these terms please proceed with your application.
Qualifications:- Key skills: Windows 7/10 Office 2013/O365 mobile device management.
- Hardware would range from desktops/laptops/workstations/ thin clients.
- Knowledge of ticketing platforms is key and knowledge of ITIL fundamentals is a plus.
- Prior experience Installing configuring and troubleshooting WIN7/10 desktops & laptops.
- Prior knowledge and experience supporting a clients datacenter.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Can manage small project teams.
- Any prior support knowledge of the Apple MAC platform is a big plus.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Must be friendly eager to learn self-motivated and good under pressure.
- Positive and professional demeanor; a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision
- Has 3-5 years of experience
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software.
- Resolve issues for clients via phone in person or electronically.
- Recommend hardware and software improvements.
- Track customer issues and resolutions
- Accurately testing identifying repairing resolving and documenting end user technical issues regarding basic network/desktop/laptop support Printers iPhone and LAN cable drops.
- Swap-Out and troubleshoot software issues.
- Reimaging computers/hard drives
- IMACD functions including installation and decommission.
- Backing up and restoring user data
