Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager with a robust background in federal projects to oversee the management and execution of high-profile initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of maintaining contract compliance ensuring quality standards and driving project success from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence in project delivery. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program in support of the overall Program Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
  • Supports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
  • Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.
  • Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
  • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise.
  • Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
  • Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
  • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Engineering Architecture or a related field 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • As a condition of employment candidate must be able to pass GSA Government Clearance Process.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering Architecture or Project Management.
  • 10 years of program management with some experience in the federal market
  • Certification in one or more of the following: Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Project Management Professional (PMP) Professional Engineer (PE) Registered Architect (RA) or American Institute of Architects (AIA).
  • Proven expertise in contract management and compliance oversight.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and teams effectively.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Value Engineering (VE).
  • Experience in labor standards enforcement and subcontracting plan adherence.
