Job Responsibilities:
Magna is seeking a highly motivated Deployment Engineer to join the New Mobility group. This individual will be responsible for deployment and onsite support/monitoring of Magnas manufacturing material handling solution focused on autonomous mobile robotics (AMR).
The Deployment Engineer will implement the AMR solution as per the contract established between Magnas Customers and the New Mobility Pre-Sales / Solution Engineering Team across various sites. This role involves solving technical issues while ensuring the completion of deployment milestones. The deployment engineer will provide training and presentations on technical details to team members and collaborate with product development and support teams.
The position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and building technologies in diverse environments.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to meet defined program objectives and milestones in an environment where they will be given the freedom to innovate and explore new methods and solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs installations at Magna sites. Works with site leads to unblock installation issues. Works alongside installation contractors to set-up and tune the AMR solution.
Analyze and resolve technical issues and execute supervise and validate the completion of deployment milestones.
Next to the support on deployment projects you will provide training and presentations of technical details to other teams and work closely with the product development and support teams.
As a deployment engineer your responsibilities include troubleshooting issues related to routers and wireless networks training customers how to use methods or implement upgrades and ensuring that security is functioning properly on all network assets.
Provide customer facing first line support. Addressing general day to day questions and issues in the field while escalating to the engineering and operations teams as necessary.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in robotics or related field OR equivalent combination of technical certifications and hands on technical experience required
Preferred experience in robotics automotive or automation industries
Experience in customer-facing roles
Experience documenting and reporting updates and current onsite activities.
Understanding of data collection reporting processes and ability to make data-driven decisions.
The role requires a completed bachelors degree in computer science Electrical Engineering Telecommunication Robotics or a related field alongside a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS PREFERRED:
Familiarity with AMRs AGVs or other autonomous vehicles.
Experience and ability to use hand tools and electronic diagnostic tools
Proficiency of SW languages (e.g. python Linux etc.) for task automation along with a solid understanding of data network concepts and relevant technical degree or certifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting or standing above average mobility to move around a warehouse environment able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer able to operate power tools able to be on their feet for prolonged periods of time occasionally move up to 50 lbs.
High degree of schedule flexibility.
Willingness to work primarily in a manufacturing site environment in a field-based role and travel across North America and potentially EU.

50% or greater
Hiring Base Salary Range: $66800 - $124200 (Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data). In addition to base salary some positions are eligible for an annual performance based bonus
