Job Summary

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a remote Db2 Systems Programmer with expert knowledge in supporting Db2 subsystems for z/OS platforms. This individual will have the unique experience to work with SME programmers who have led major initiatives as well as serve as mentor for junior DB2 z/OS technical professionals.

The Db2 Systems Programmer will be responsible for managingDb2 for z/OS subsystems supporting environments for both internal and external clients as well as collaborating with z/OS programmers to optimize the Mainframe production.

Duties:
  • Installing configuring governing and tuning Db2 componentsin z/OS platforms including SMP/E PTF evaluation RSU planning APAR analysis HOLDDATA review as well as configuringDSNZPARM settings.
  • Optimize system performance and lead disaster recovery activities.
  • Strong understanding of Db2 security architecture including RACF integration authentication authorization trusted contexts privileged access controls SECADM/SYSADM separation audit traces encryption certificates and secure remote connectivity
  • Support vendor advisory assessment maintenance windows fallback planning and deployment governance
  • Access vulnerability findings CVE applicability security bulletins patch exposure configuration drift exploitability compensating controls remediation complexity and implementation risk for Db2 for z/OS environments
  • Identify risk exposures attack surface control gaps operational weaknesses and remediation opportunities across Db2 z/OS RACF DDF utilities middleware interfaces certificates and automation tooling
  • Under concepts of Db2 performance analyze and identifyproduction incident patterns
  • Oversee certificate management
  • Ability to partner with application security RACF middleware storage and z/OS teams
