Job Title: Data Analyst III

Job Duties:

Analyzes and translates data into actionable narrative by rigorously analyzing operational data and performing predictive modeling data visualization and storytelling. More specifically:

    • Analyze operational data and business problems to identify trends correlations and insights to inform strategic decisions.
    • Produce and present meaningful reports dashboards and visualizations to illustrate key metrics.
    • Create predictive models to forecast trends in effective ways; deliver actionable insight.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs process data and provide meaningful solutions.
    • Use professional knowledge and departmental or organizational objectives to influence data analysis methodologies and interpretation of insights; translates data into clear and concise insights and stakeholder presentations.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy regulations and industry standards methodologies when handling and analyzing sensitive data.
    • Lead analysis & implementation of research emerging technologies including integration of clinical trial management data with research systems and associated dashboarding.
    • May participate in designing tools for data & workflow processes including surveys and other reporting mechanisms.

Telecommuting possible subject to Fred Hutchs legal/regulatory authorization to employ workers in the requested remote worksite.

REQUIRES:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems Informatics Finance or Accounting or Business Analytics or the foreign degree equivalent and five (5) years of experience in business and/or data analytics including four (4) years of experience in a matrix management environment as a member of several project teams.

OR

Masters degree in Information Systems Informatics Finance or Accounting or Business Analytics or the foreign degree equivalent and three (3) years of experience in business and/or data analytics including three (3) years of experience in a matrix management environment as a member of several project teams.

Experience must include:

    • Three (3) years of experience with Business intelligence tools including Tableau and/or SAS and techniques including Data Integration Reporting Data Mining Data Visualizations Dashboarding ETL and/or Drilldowns;
    • Three (3) years of experience developing reports using an enterprise reporting tool such as Business Objects Tableau SQL Server Reporting Services Oracle Reports SAS and/or Spotfire;
    • Three (3) years of experience working through the entire SDLC;
    • Two (2) years of experience utilizing an issue tracking tool including Smartsheet JIRA and/or Asana;
    • Two (2) years of experience in technology integration supporting strategic goals of clinical research support;
    • Two (2) years of experience utilizing PostgresSQL relational database management system;
    • Two (2) years of experience utilizing knowledge of good clinical data management practices in health research; and
    • One (1) year of experience programming in SQL SAS Python R or Perl on a PC/Unix platform.

Experience can be gained concurrently.

SALARY:

The annual base salary range for this position is from $96970.00 to $139713.60 and the pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
