Job Summary
Cyber Security Auditor
Stellar Science seeks a detail-oriented Cyber Security Auditor to assess and strengthen IT infrastructure security controls and compliance programs in a fast-paced software development environment supporting government security standards. This on-site role is based in Albuquerque NM.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct security audits risk assessments vulnerability scans and penetration test oversight
Ensure compliance with NIST CMMC 2.0 RMF JSIG and related security frameworks
Evaluate firewalls data protection mechanisms and other security controls
Prepare audit reports with remediation recommendations
Analyze system logs utilizing a variety of cybersecurity tools such as Wazuh Elastic Stack Splunk Graylog
Support cybersecurity awareness and best practices across the company
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity IT a related field or equivalent experience
3 years in IT auditing or security engineering
Experience with cybersecurity tools compliance frameworks and risk analysis
Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and cyber teams
Some or all certifications: CISA CISSP CISM DoD 8140/8570 IAT/M Level III
U.S. citizen willing to undergo background investigation and perform some work at government or customer sites
Desired Skills
Linux/Windows infrastructure and cloud security experience (AWS/Azure)
Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure software development practices
Proactive approach to emerging threats and advanced persistent threats (APTs)
