JOB TITLE: Cutting Operator
JOB LEVEL: Entry 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Cincinnati
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Cutting Department
REPORTS TO: Cutting Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cutting Operator runs various machines in the cutting department to a level that meets or exceeds department expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is primarily yet not exclusively responsible and accountable for the following:
Having operational knowledge of all equipment in the area of responsibility to include drill press panel saw table saw radial arm saw heat bender die cutter I cut guillotine cutter sheeter router scoring table drill table and slitter.
Completing pre and post cuts on material within tolerance level
Reading job tickets thoroughly and interpreting before starting the job task and understand the job task
Cutting each piece of material within QC requirements
Inspecting each piece for Quality Control
Performing and completing all tasks assigned in a timely manner
Maintaining a safe and clean working area at all times
Storing all materials in a manner that promotes cleanliness
Using supplies in a cost-effective manner
Adhering to all productivity SOPs safety 6S and PPE requirements
Performing and completing all other work duties assigned to include assisting in other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
