We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join a healthcare imaging team in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience performing advanced CT imaging procedures operating Siemens CT equipment and providing exceptional patient care to pediatric adolescent emergency and trauma populations.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Operate Siemens CT scanners safely and efficiently while producing high-quality diagnostic images.
Provide imaging support for emergency trauma inpatient and pediatric patient populations.
Prepare position and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles.
Collaborate with radiologists physicians pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent patient care situations.
Maintain accurate documentation of imaging studies and patient information within the electronic medical record system.
Participate in quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Acute care emergency department and trauma imaging experience preferred.
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and anatomy.
Knowledge of radiation safety standards and patient protection practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems preferred.
