Position Overview: The CT Technologist is responsible for operating all CT scanners within the Imaging Department to perform highquality diagnostic examinations in accordance with physician orders departmental protocols and established safety standards. This role ensures efficient patient flow accurate documentation within EPIC and PACS systems and the delivery of safe patientcentered care.



Location: Johns Hopkins Medical Imagaing at Bethesda

Schedule: Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-7:00pm

Responsibilities

Perform CT examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and safety standards.
Obtain and document relevant patient history; prepare patients for procedures and administer oral and IV contrast.
Monitor patients during exams recognize changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies including CPR/first aid.
Verify patient identification and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy and compliance.
Provide radiation protection to patients staff and self in accordance with established guidelines.
Position and transfer patients safely to and from wheelchairs stretchers and the CT table.
Assist radiologists with CTguided interventional procedures including biopsies.
Review relevant laboratory results in EPIC to support exam completion.
Perform routine equipment checks report malfunctions and coordinate service needs.
Maintain a clean organized work environment including equipment disinfection and supply management.
Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fastpaced setting with frequent interruptions.
Support orientation of new staff and students and communicate effectively using hospital systems.
