Job Summary
Job Title: (CSSNA) Welder
Duration: 12 Months (temp-to-hire)
Location: Henderson CO 80640
Schedule: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.74/hr on W2
Set-up operate or tend welding soldering or brazing machines.
Responsibilities include:
- Interpret shop drawings/blueprints
- Read a tape measure accurately
- Set up MIG/MP welding machines
- Perform GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) on Mild Steel
- Use power tools (drill impact driver angle grinder etc.)
- Apply basic construction skills
- Work safely from ladders and scissor lifts wearing fall protection
- Wear a respirator when required
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand basic welding processes (gas metal arc plasma arc resistance welding)
- Apply design techniques tools and principles to produce precision plans blueprints drawings and models
- Weld components in flat vertical or overhead positions
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
- Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating warping shrinking distortion or expansion
- Examine workpieces for defects; measure with straightedges or templates for accuracy
- Set up and operate hand and power tools common to welding trade
- Determine required equipment and welding methods applying knowledge of metallurgy geometry and welding techniques
- Repair products by dismantling straightening reshaping and reassembling parts
