Job Summary
Our SelectLeaders client is a privately held value-add commercial real estate owner/operator with a portfolio spanning office industrial and retail assets across Southern California. The organization manages property-level and corporate accounting functions in-house and offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership and senior leadership.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for corporate and property-level accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities including property ownership entities management companies and related corporate structures. The ideal candidate has strong commercial real estate accounting experience and hands-on expertise with MRI software.
- Perform full-cycle accounting for corporate and property ownership entities.
- Prepare entity-level and corporate financial statements.
- Manage intercompany accounting allocations and eliminations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash management.
- Manage property-level accounting within MRI.
- Prepare CAM estimates reconciliations and tenant billings.
- Process management fee G&A and intercompany billings.
- Support monthly quarterly and annual close processes.
- Prepare lender and reserve reporting.
- Support acquisitions and dispositions.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support system oversight including MRI and Avid.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience.
- Commercial real estate and property accounting experience.
- Hands-on MRI experience required.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with intercompany accounting.
- CPA or CPA-track.
- Experience with multi-entity commercial real estate accounting.
- High-visibility role with direct exposure to ownership and senior leadership.

- $100000 - $130000 annual salary
